| -Saiyan (normal) The proper name of a Saiyan is "Saiyan-jin" (but Saiyan or SJ for short). A normal level Saiyan usually has black hair, but occasionally they have brown hair (Trunks and a female saiyan in Bardock's force is an exception because he is half human) and black eyes. They are naturally well built physically, giving them an advantage over many species as they tend to be stronger offensively and defensively. They are born with a tail to give them the ability to transform into a were monkey at the sight of the full moon. Saiyans also have a natural tendency to want to fight. They enjoy being challenged and are usually fair when it comes to one-on-one battling.

and super strength -Super Saiyan The proper name of a Super-Saiyan is "Super Saiyan-jin" (but SS or SSJ for short). A Super-Saiyan level Saiyan has golden hair and green eyes. Generally, a Super-Saiyan is more muscular than a normal Saiyan, resulting in increased speed, strength, and agility. To reach the Super-Saiyan level, a Saiyan must first be at the maximum strength possible for that particular Saiyan. He then must experience extreme rage, usually from the death of a loved one. Once both requirements are achieved, the Saiyan will automatically transform into Super-Saiyan form. If the SSJ level has been achieved before, the Saiyan can change to and from the different levels at will without experiencing additional rage. Usually when a Super-Saiyan is at full power, he will be engulfed in his own ki (often shown as a type of golden fire). If the SSJ takes too much damage, the visible ki will disappear and if even more damage is taken, the Saiyan may be forced to drop from SSJ to normal Saiyan level. Vegita has trained soo hard that he became ssj, and Goten was the only one to reach it without such anger. Once you are in Ssj form you can't do a Genki- Dama like Gokou. Why? Maybe because of the rage needed to gain the level stays with you, and you probably need a pure heart without anger to creat a Genki Dama, however if they created it in the normal stage, and go Ssj, the Genki Dama's energy will be asorbed into the person resulting of that saiyan to be in the middle of the Genki Dama, and its color changes to yellow.

-Super Saiyan level 2 The proper name of a Super-Saiyan level 2 is "Super Saiyan-jin 2" (but SS2 or SSJ2 for short). This level is what Gokou called "beyond the Super-Saiyan." A SSJ2 level Saiyan continues to keep his golden hair and green eyes. Their body continues to grow with muscles as they gain even more speed, strength, and agility. To reach the Super-Saiyan 2 level, a Saiyan must first be at the maximum strength possible for a Super-Saiyan. He then must once again experience extreme rage. When both requirements have been fulfilled, the Super-Saiyan will automatically transform into Super-Saiyan 2 form. All other previous SSJ rules also apply to the SSJ2. However, a new aspect develops for the SSJ2. The Saiyan must train speed, strength, and agility separately. If the Saiyan trains speed more, then he will lose some strength and agility. If he trains strength more, then he will lose some speed and agility. A perfect SSJ2 will be able to fine tune the three attributes to his specific situation and his own personal body type. Thus, over training strength will result in slow speed, resulting in almost certain death.

speed and strength from the SSJ level An important part of telling SSJ from SSJ2 is by looking at their hair style. Gokou, Gohan, and Goten all have a piece of their hair falling downwards (right on their forehead) when they are in SSJ2. Trunks' hair is going more outwards than upwards and Vegeta's hair stays mostly the same (making it very difficult to tell). Another important part of telling the two stages apart is by looking at their hair and ki color. When a Saiyan is in SSJ2, he will sometimes be drawn with light gold hair with light gold ki, almost white (this technique isn't foolproof but it is usually works). Their hair should be more detailed (they have more lines) and is very little hair falling downward. Lastly, look at the clothes the person is wearing. This technique is the most difficult because you must see the show before you can remember which costume goes with which stage.
-Ultimate Saiyan An Ultimate Saiyan is perhaps the rarest form of Saiyan there is. To date, there has only been three (I think) Ultimate Saiyans and two of them were killed, leaving the last Saiyan to be Brolly. An Ultimate Saiyan, when in normal Saiyan form, looks just like an average Saiyan. However, when transformed, his body expands three to four times with muscles, his eyes become white, and his hair becomes gold. The advantage that Ultimate Saiyans have, is that they can use their normal form to fool unsuspecting opponents and then transform to become a raging beast. An Ultimate Saiyan is incredibly fast and strong, more so than that of a SSJ2. He is able to either deflect or absorb most attacks head on without having to block and is immensely fast for someone of such great size. Not much is known about the origins of the Ultimate Saiyan nor is much known on how to reach the level. The only proven thing is that they can be defeated as Brolly was. -Ultimate Saiyan (kinda like another version) It is a form right before Ssj2. Their muscles expand to a bigger size, pretty much the same as above, like Brolly. Only Gokou and Miria no Trunks reached this stage, though Vegita could have achive this stage he new the limits of it. What limits? Thoough this stage is probably incredibly strong, their huge muscle size makes it hard for the person tomove, so itis mostly useless to a fast fighter.

-Super Saiyan level 3 The proper name of a Super-Saiyan level 3 is "Super Saiyan-jin 3" (but SS3 or SSJ3 for short). This level is what Gokou called "beyond the beyond the Super-Saiyan." A SSJ3 level Saiyan continues to keep his golden hair and green eyes, but this time, his hair goes down to his feet. Their body no longer grows bigger but becomes thinner and leaner. A SSJ3 loses his eyebrows and instead has only skin where his eyebrows used to be. To reach the Super-Saiyan 3 level, a Saiyan no longer needs to fulfill the rage requirement. He needs to only train effectively to the very max of SSJ2. Only then will he be able to change to SSJ3. All other previous SSJ rules also apply to the SSJ3 including the attribute development.

-Super Saiyan level 4 The proper name of a Super-Saiyan level 4 is "Super Saiyan-jin 4" (but SS4 or SSJ4 for short). A SSJ4 level Saiyan changes his physical features dramatically. His hair is still black, but becomes shaggy, reaching his shoulders; his pupils become yellow while his actual eyes are rimmed with red. His upper body is covered with red fur (all over his back and arms but not his chest) and he grows his Saiyan tail back, even if it was removed by the roots (SSJ4 Gogeta has short red hair and brown fur instead). In this stage, the Saiyan is immensely powerful and is easily the equal of three or four separate Super-Saiyans. Due to conflicting information and spreading rumors, I have yet found the exact way to change from SSJ3 to SSJ4 (Gokou turned SSJ4 when he was extremely homesick while Vegeta turned SSJ4 when he was hit by a special ray gun made by Bulma). However, I do know that technically there is no SSJ4 (since both Gokou and Vegeta achieved SSJ4 through a means other than training or rage and since he doesn't have golden hair) and that it should be technically called "Super Saiyan-jin Gokou level 4" or "Super Saiyan-jin Vegeta level 4." It is in this stage, where a Saiyan is able to transform into the Ougon Oozaru or the golden were-monkey. My theory is that this is the real "Super Saiyan-jin" stage since it is obtanied from the were-monkey as shown in Vegeta's story about a Super Saiyan.

speed and strength from the SSJ3 level -Oozaru Oozaru, meaning "big monkey," is the were-monkey ability of every Saiyan. After a Saiyan, with a tail, has been exposed to moonlight for a few seconds, he will transform into a fifty foot tall monkey. While in oozaru form, the Saiyan loses all of its fighting skills and is left with only energy blasts from the mouth and their monstrous strength (approximately ten times the power of when he was a normal Saiyan). Supposedly, all Saiyans can control themselves while they are in oozaru form, however, Gokou and Gohan can not for some particular reason. An even stronger version of the oozaru is the ougon oozaru. The ougon oozaru is a golden were-monkey and its destructive powers surpasses even that of a Super-Saiyan 3 and possibly Super-Saiyan 4.

-Fused Saiyan A fused Saiyan is the combination of two separate Saiyans. The fusion process will combine the power, personality, appearance, and clothing of the two Saiyans. To start the fusion process, the two Saiyans must do the fusion wuza, a dance which requires the participation of both people. If the dance is done incorrectly, the two Saiyans will fuse and emerge as a fat or skinny person who is also extremely weak. The fusion process wears off in thirty minutes under normal circumstances. However, if extra energy is used while in fused form, the time limit will go down possibly cutting the time down to only fifteen minutes or even less. While fused, the fused being may choose to become SSJ or even SSJ2 (if both individual Saiyans have achieved it). However, the fusion process will only fuse two people together who are approximately the same age and power strength. This is why only Trunks/Goten and Gokou/Vegeta can do it (however, Gokou had to lower his power level a bit when he fused with Vegeta because his power level was much too high). There is also a second type of fusion concerning the Potara earrings. When two people put an earring on opposite earrings, the two will automatically fuse together permanently. This was how Vegito was created by he was magically split back into Gokou and Vegeta when Vegito was absorbed by Buu.
